This project proposes to design, optimize, and fabricate autonomous wearable energy harvesting sensors for confined space atmospheric gas monitoring. The proposed device will contain multiple sensors with active battery charging through energy harvesting. A multi-level research framework has been developed to encompass various analytical, computational, and experimental tools. In early stages of the project, the design and characterization of event-based sensor architecture for low-power miniature sensors will be performed.
